Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) announces that it has launched initiatives aimed at retraining its employees. Given the economic downturn, these measures will boost the security of the personnel; help to avoid redundancy measures and train staff to carry out equipment repairs and in-house maintenance. The program involves over 760 people from ten core production units of NLMK Lipetsk plant who have completed maintenance engineer, electro-gas welder and gas cutter courses. These courses cover classroom training in the Corporate Training Centre and on-site training in production units taught by skilled instructors. For the , see the SteelGuru website.
