FLSmidth has signed a contract with Chinese-owned Minera Chinalco Perú (MCP) for equipment for its Toromocho copper mine lying at 4,500 m above sea level in the Morococha mining district about 140 km east of Lima, the capital of Peru. The contract value is expected to be worth in excess of $30 million. FLSmidth is to provide detailed engineering and design, as well as manufacture and delivery of equipment, including two overland conveyors, seven in-plant conveyors, and two belt feeders. (more…)
